PROGRAM GUIDELINES

In order to ensure a high-quality and meaningful program, each mentee is required to adhere to the following general regulations:
  • An amount of 1,500,000 VND (of which 1,000,000 VND is a commitment fee) must be paid prior to attending the Orientation Day session. You will be refunded the 1,000,000 VND commitment fee at the end of the program if:
  • You successfully complete 6 mentoring sessions per month with your mentor and submit comprehensive and timely summary posts;
  • For each missed mentoring session, failure to submit a summary post, or posting late, 500,000 VND will be deducted from the refund amount at the end of the program.

Pay the program participation fee

  • Your feedback on the mentoring session, what you have learned, and the next steps after the mentoring session.
  • A photograph of the mentor and mentee during this meeting.
  • The anticipated mentoring date for the following month.

Write a summary article after the mentoring session.

  • Recaps should be posted on the program's Facebook group
  • Recaps must be posted no later than midnight on the last day of the month
  • Failure to post recaps or consistently posting them late more than three times will result in being disqualified as a mentee from the program.

Important note:

Content includes:

  • Commitment to participate in the program for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Proactively schedule offline meetings with the mentor, dedicating at least 1 hour per month for face-to-face exchanges.
  • Set specific goals before each meeting and reflect on personal concerns and challenges.
  • Approach the mentoring relationship with openness, professionalism, and respect.
  • Contact the Organizing Committee to address any issues that may arise.

The UAN Mentoring program is organized by the UAN Mentorship community, which is part of the UAN ecosystem. It aims to spread the value of mentoring to young professionals working in the marketing industry who desire personal development and contribute to creating positive and sustainable societal impact.
1. Which organization organizes the UAN Mentoring program?
Each season will last for 6 months. The new season will enroll after a 2-month period following the conclusion of the program.


2. When does UAN Mentoring program take place?
+ Announcement of the registration form and related promotional materials.
+ Confirmation notification for participants' registration.
+ Direct interviews, are conducted online.
+ Announcement of the Mentee list for the UAN Mentoring program.
+ Notification of matching results (you will be paired 1:1 with a Mentor who actively invites you or through program matching based on criteria such as industry, interests, strengths, weaknesses, and career aspirations).
+ Attendance at the Matching Day event, organized specifically for New Mentees. (Matching Day is a meeting that marks the beginning of the mentoring journey.)
3. How do mentees enroll and the organizer proceed?
This process will go through four main stages:
+ Relationship Building
+ Mentee Expectation Setting
+ Taking Action to Achieve Goals
+ Reflection and Next Steps for the Relationship
4. Summary of Mentee's 6-month mentoring process
+ One-on-one meetings with a Mentor in the field of Marketing.
+ Organizing industry-sharing sessions by Mentors.
+ Organizing community-building activities within the UAN Mentorship, providing opportunities to connect with other experienced Mentors within the community.
5. What are the main activities of UAN Mentoring for Mentee?
+ Clear goal setting
+ Proactive and open sharing
+ Commitment
+ Patience
6. Factors that help the mentoring process take place effectively
The mentoring process is considered successful when Mentees and Mentors have a positive interaction, engage in open exchanges, and mutually respect each other. This creates a favorable environment for Mentees to learn and consolidate knowledge and skills from their Mentors. At the same time, Mentors also have the opportunity to reflect on their own knowledge, skills, and contributions.
7. What factors make a successful mentoring relationship ?
Lack of alignment in expectations leading to misunderstandings/disappointments.
Being passive when issues arise: not voicing concerns or seeking support to address them together.
8. What are the common causes for an ineffective mentoring journey or a bad/broken relationship between mentor & mentee?
This is not only a requirement of the program to monitor the commitment of mentor-mentee pairs throughout the season, but also when mentors and mentees share their experiences, knowledge, and personal stories. They can inspire, motivate, and provide advice to those going through similar situations. Additionally, sharing can help build a community and create a positive interactive environment.
